Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is a good fit for me right now?

If something brought you to this page, that's usually a sign worth paying attention to. You don't need to be in crisis or have a clear goal in mind. A lot of the women I work with just know something feels off, and that's enough to start.

What does therapy look like?

Sessions are a space that belongs entirely to you. I bring a down-to-earth, curious, and warm approach, which means we'll explore at a pace that feels manageable, and I'll gently challenge you when it seems helpful. I'm not here to tell you what to do or hand you a list of answers. Instead, I'll walk alongside you, asking the kinds of questions that help you discover more about yourself and what you actually need. Some days that might feel like a breakthrough; other days it might just feel like finally being able to exhale. Both are part of the process.

How long will it take?

That really depends on you, your goals, your history, and how you move through things. Some people find what they need in a few months; others find value in long term therapy. We'll check in regularly to make sure it's feeling useful and moving in a direction that makes sense for you.

How often will we meet?

Most clients start by meeting weekly, especially in the beginning. As things shift and grow, we can adjust from there based on what feels right for you.

What if I've never been to therapy before?

That's completely okay, and honestly, pretty common. We'll go at your pace. There's no script you need to follow or way you're supposed to show up. Just bring yourself. My job is to meet you where you are.

What if I need more support?

Sometimes the process of therapy opens things up, and that's actually a good sign. As we work together, we may discover that additional support could be helpful, whether that's exploring medication, connecting with a specialist, or a different level of care. If that happens, I'll talk with you openly about it and help you figure out the next right step. You won't be left to navigate that alone.

It's also worth knowing that this practice is best suited for women who are ready to do some exploratory work, but aren't currently in crisis or in need of urgent care. If that's where you are right now, I want to help you find the right support, even if that's not with me.
